The Scorch Trials and the rest of the series had a cool language that the teenage boys had made up. I found it fun to try and figure out what the meant by these made up words. Thomas was the main character is the series and the movies. He was different from the rest of the kids he met because he could talk telepathically with certain people. Thomas is a very nice guy who is always thinking logically but his love for his Teresa can sometimes distract him. He is considered to be the team leader towards the end of the story even though he feels he should not. The author's style is very modern and simple. He writes how i talk today and is easy to follow.
