Character Analysis: The Mirabal Sisters

Today, the Mirabal sisters are honored and recognized as heroines in the dominican Republic and in parts of the world. They are symbols of courage, love, and sacrifice. I choose to do my report on Minerva, because she is very outspoken kind of like me. She always told people what was on her mind and how she felt about a situation. This set her aside from the other three sisters. In the book Minerva felt as if she was trapped in her home because she had to ask her parents to go everywhere and to do everything. If she wanted to go to the lake she had to ask for permission, or if she wanted to put her feet in the water she had to ask before she even dipped a toe in the water.
