Character Analysis: The Lodges

The Lodges want to support Archie’s dad, Fred Andrews, to run for mayor. However, Archie doesn’t want his dad to be involved with the Lodges’ business, so he avoids campaigning with his girlfriend, Veronica Lodge, because he felt like that the Lodges are controlling both his dad and himself. He also told Jughead about the secret that Hiram Lodge has already purchased the town’s diner, Pop’s. He hopes that Jughead can help him by exposing Hiram’s plan to the public. However, Jughead refuses because he doesn’t want to break Pop’s heart. Veronica and Archie got into an argument because Archie feels like he cannot trust the Lodges because they wouldn’t tell him or his dad the whole truth. So, he confronts Hiram Lodge, threatening him with a journal full of everything that Hiram had done in the past. Finally, Hiram tells both Fred Archie and his dad that their plan is to build a prison in Riverdale. Fred got angry because he was hidden from this …show more content…

1. Openness-Archie Andrews is high in openness. He is open to Hiram Lodge’s ideas of building a prison, which many people in Riverdale, including his dad, is opposing to because this has never been done before. However, he embraces this vision and supports it.
2. Conscientiousness-Archie is definitely ambitious towards his goals and plans, even though sometimes he doesn’t have the right tool to go about it. However, in this episode, I could see how he executed with his plan to protect his father clearly and efficiently.
3. Extraversion-Archie is an extravert as he is one of the most popular ones in school as he joins many extra curricular activities. He is outgoing and
