The Book Thief Sequel World War Three has begun, Russia is allies with China and America is battling both of them single handedly. The specifics of this war George Meminger did not know, for he was only a soldier who was drafted. He despised wars since he heard of the story that has been passed down through the family tree of his grandmother, Liesel Meminger. After hearing of the hardships and the personal losses his grandmother has been through, he vowed he would never partake in such violence. But now sitting in his father’s office, who is long gone because he was stricken by cancer at a young age, George knew he had no choice but to go to war and fight for his country. Death stared upon George Meminger who sat silently in deep though, Death was deeply disturbed because George and his mannerism reminded him of Liesel, The Book Thief. Death even sometimes caught George stealing books from his Father’s office when he was still alive, but now George does not steal from the office as such action is deeply disrespectful to the dead. He left Florida and went to Arizona were his boot camp was for the army. He struggled 30 frustrating days in boot camp, he was not accustomed to grown men slapping him around for every mistake he made. After boot camp he was sent straight to war which was taking place in the border of Russia. At war he usually was unnoticed by higher authority and usually had not important roles, he let many chances of killing his enemies because he despised violence.
