Walter Younger can be compared to our President Donald Trump because they both think that money is important, they have biased views of different races, and tend to jump into things without really thinking it through.Walter is a middle-aged man and is older to his only sibling Beneatha. He is motivated by money and does not care about his family’s needs such as his mom’s dream to have a family home or his sister Beneatha’s pursuit for higher education. Walter works as a chauffeur and doesn’t like his job, because he has to work for a rich white man and has to be a servant to him. Walter’s goal in life is to own a liquor store because he thinks it will solve all his financial and social problems.

Both Walter and Hong King are driven by money, they are only out to benefit themselves and do not care about other people around them or those who may care for them. Just as Walter did not care of his mamma or sister’s needs, Hong King also did not care for women like Lalu. Hong King got into several fights and even abused women; similarly Walter gets into arguments and says nasty thing to all his family members because of his addiction to money. However, there are some big differences that set Walter and Hong King apart. Walter doesn’t gamble, but Hong King gambles for money and women in poker games.
