Carley, an eighth grade girl is taken by the police to a foster home after she and her mother end up in the hospital. When she arrives at the Murphys, her foster family, she is welcomed by Mrs. Murphy and her 3 sons Daniel, Adam, and Michael Eric. Carley is extremely angry and confused with her new living arrangements. As she entered their house she is overwhelmed by all of the homemade food and the loving environment. Carley stayed up all night thinking and watching the clock. In the morning, she wakes up to a happy family breakfast much different that she had with her mom. As the morning continued, Carley feels like she doesn’t belong with the Murphys perfect family.
