From this quote I learned that Sage really isn’t a people person. She’s the type of girl who would rather be alone and do things on her own than be out surrounded by others. I can relate to her because there are days where I don’t want to talk to anyone. Sometimes you just want to be alone. Part of this could be because of Sage’s insecurities. I know that because she’s always trying to hide her scar from everyone. Everyone except for her best friend Mary. This quote is significant because it will help me understand some of the decisions Sage makes later in the book.
