The short story "paul's case"by "Willa Cather "rather is about a troubled young man paul because he thought the world different from his age group. He loved colorful, beautiful things, he enjoyed the theater as well as music, and he also wanted to travel. While the other kids would blend into the society , he wanted to be something more. He wished to live the actors and singers that he saw at the theater. He wanted to see new places and people. He wanted to go to parties and socialize with who he viewed as important people. That is why he was always dropping the names of the actors he knew from working . that even led him to be kicked out of school and also theater .also in this story paul wanted different than those around him in any way that …show more content…
I felt that the character paul has a rebellious behavior toward the nature of the society that was trying to force him to be someone or something that he disliked. His teachers, as well as his father, they wanted him to act normal and their versions of normal would have made him into a man that grew up, to be married, have kids, and worked for the rest of his life, never see the world outside of his town. His refusing to obey rules accept normal standards of behavior that were his point that made his teachers to hatred him. They just didn't understand that he didn't want to be like them and nothing they did was going to change that. The means of getting there, however, were sad in the end that he died.the experiences and facts I had learned and see in my life is that In back home Pakistan and Indian there are some many families that forced pushed their kid to live they life wanted them to be doctor or engineer and wants them to be like a person that settled and never really goes for anything or took any risks in their life. A person who married an he got an all right job and had four kids. And they are being forced to be that and when they don't meet that standard they killed their self through suicide.
