Montag’s sick looking wife. She watches television a lot and refuses to commence a conversation with her husband about their marriage or about her feelings. Her suicide attempt, shows us that she is in great pain. She is childish, Mildred does not understand her husband and she doesn't want to.
Captain Beatty - The captain of Montag’s fire department. He is highly educated , but he hates books and people who insist on reading them. He reads Montag's thoughts.
Clarisse McClellan - A beautiful seventeen year old girl who shows Montag to the world’s potential for beauty . She has odd habits(for the society), which include hiking, playing with flowers, and asking questions, but she seem happy with her family .
