John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men is a depressing about two men, Lennie and George, who get chased out of their hometown. They arrive on a ranch to work where there are a lot of incidents. Through these incidents their friendships or tested and innocent characters such as Lennie, Candy, and Curley’s wife suffer. Lennie Smalls continually suffers because he often feels soft things because he does not know any better. For example when he fell Curleys wife's hair when she When she started yelling he got word and held onto her this killed her and ultimately led to Lennie's death. “... and he shook her; and her body flop like a fish.
