Character Analysis Of Lao Tzu From 'The Christmas Spirits'

Lao Tzu, a wise man, stated, “If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.” People think doing what they want will make them end up where they want but in real life that is entirely wrong and might hit them unexpectedly. Like Scrooge, he acted selfishly and inhuman. Scrooge direction is greed, and selfishness and the only thing he cares is money. At first when he was poor then he met a girl, and they loved each other very much, and Scrooge treated Sweetheart like a jewel, but when Scrooge got more rich, the only girlfriend he had was swatted off like flies. All of the Christmas Spirits showed him all of his memories, things that are happening right now, and things yet to come to show and make him rethink and change his ways for the better. Scrooge tells his nephew bah humbug when Fred came and said Merry Christmas and when Fred was explaining about a dinner and telling Scrooge if he would come but Scrooge puts his head deeper and deeper into the book and saying good day. When Fred left a Gentleman visitor came and asked if Scrooge and donate to the poor Scrooge says if there are no workhouse and there are no prisons. Then the Gentleman visitor came and said if they don’t have a place to stay and don’t have food and water they will die and Scrooge responded with that was let them die. Cratchit is Scrooge's worker, and he is poor and has a family and a crippled boy, and he asked if he could stay at home on Christmas Day, and Scrooge says no and tells him to be extra early on that day.
