Gregor goes through a physical transformation, becoming a cockroach. His parents didn’t admire his changes, however it was his sister that respected and fulfilled his needs. Grete was shy and petrified to face “the bug” but she still took care of him. She gave him meals twice a day and made sure he didn’t starve to death. His sister, being dependent on him, made sure that Gregor didn’t feel left out of the human world. She was Gregor’s spoke man when no one understood him.
