As the person I am today, who is a follower of the Roman Catholic church, I would resist the T-4 program. I believe that killing disabled people because the person is deemed invaluable or a productive member of society. I strongly think that every person has value and a contribution to society. Furthermore, I would have participated in a resistance program, or aided victims to safety. I am a compassionate person, and I do not judge a person because of a person’s faith. I judge the person by character, and morals. To couple with the novel, Gone to Soldiers, I would be like Gloria, who provides a safe location for Jacqueline and Daniela. I would have my home as a safe location for the refugees to stay before reaching his or her destination. I could not be a bystander while the atrocities during World War II. I would have act against the wicked events during the Holocaust. However, I would not think I would be able to join resistant groups that were active confronting the Nazis. I do not have the courage to fight against the Nazis with warfare. Nevertheless, I could imagine what would I do in this situation. The actual events of World War II and the Holocaust are unimaginable, and hard to think of that perspective without actually living in that time
