CHARACTER LIST

CASSIO : His first name is Michael and he was recently the second in command, but is promoted to first in command after Othello 's death. . Cassio is very smart but hasn 't been in any battles which makes him very inexperienced, Cassio is now responsible for the punishment of Iago who killed 3 people.

Iago : The master of manipulation and getting his way out of things is he now finds himself in a tight situation for killing 3 people and being placed on the stand. Iago was Othello 's ensign and convinced many of the cast members to do things that were wrong which may have now caught up to him!

Emilia: Dead but back as a ghost / spirit, Emilia was Iago’s wife who

Why must you not see where I am coming from in this situation. Why must you not understand what is going on!

CASSIO
I fully understand what is happening, you killed 3 people and need to confess what you have done.

IAGO
It is not that easy. Think about your wife cheating on you with me. Emilia cheated on me with my leader Othello and I acted out of anger. Put yourself in my situation.

CASSIO
There is no proof of that ever happening and that doesn 't justify why you killed Emilia! Don 't try and play your games Iago they won 't work this time.

IAGO
I am not playing games! I am not trying to manipulate you! I want this problem to disappear, Cassio you have the power to make that happen.

CASSIO
You don 't have anything that will benefit me from letting you go, then I look like the inexperienced idiot. There is nothing you can say that will make me switch to your side.

IAGO
I have money hidden, I know the truth about you and Desdemona, Cassio I am swearing to you to never harm anyone if you let me go i 'll be forever in your debt! Please you have to trust me. I 'm scared I don 't want to die please.

CASSIO

Cassio listen, I love Emilia and I want to see her and confess to her, it will make me feel better about myself before you kill me. Michael, what if you were in my position begging to see your wife 's body for the last time, you 're likely going to give me the death penalty and I want this to be my last wish before I pass

CASSIO
I can grant you a pass to her funeral at the very back encased in the glass viewing areas but no church , you can 't be out of jail for that long, I know the church has many different escape routes. You will plead guilty on the stand and will be sentenced with the death penalty. Enjoy your last days Iago.

IAGO
Wait, Cassio.

CASSIO
What is it Iago?

IAGO

Thank you, I know you understand what I am going through, I was wrong, you 're not naive you deserve everything you have gotten.

Cassio looks back at Iago, says nothing and leaves
