Comparison Of Eric And Jessie: Game On

Great Essays
Eric & Jessie: Game On is a docu-soap structured television show about a country singer and football star who are married with two young kids, Vivianne and Eric Jr. (Bubby). Eric and Jessie are both professionals in their careers and face challenges dealing with their successes and failures within their professional work. Eric and Jessie are portrayed as a couple that is extremely in love with one another and have very little interpersonal conflict. While both Eric and Jessie are trying to advance and pursue their careers, they are also trying their best to succeed at their new jobs as parents.
My desire to create the series Eric & Jessie: Game On stemmed from a few different ideas. Eric is a talented, good looking, professional football player

The main focus of the show is on Eric and Jessie themselves, so it was necessary to incorporate their names in the title. Also, the conflicts they deal with are always geared towards their careers, so adding “Game On” into the title added more character and context showing that they can take on whatever life throws at them. In addition, the phrase “Game On” has a sporty connotation, which directly relates to Eric’s professional football career. The executives and I wanted to keep the title short so that it is easy for viewers to remember. When researching who our market would be and the trends of content they watch, E! And Bravo were the channels that came to mind. E! Is geared towards pop culture and celebrity coverage with their main target being millennial's. E!’s channel trend is similar to that of Eric & Jessie: Game On, a docu-soap reality television show. Bravo is another channel that we are pursuing to get our show aired on because it airs many different genres of reality television. Bravo was originally focused on fine arts and film, but has changed their focus to reality television. Regarding marketing hooks, for E! in particular, I am confident that its audience will watch Eric & Jessie: Game On because of the similarities it has to Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but with a Southern twist. Finally, we have produced a treatment of …show more content…
We decided to use real footage (with our characters) so that there is an understanding of the characters themselves, the plot, and the stakes. It did not seem logical to do a PowerPoint presentation or a sizzle reel with footage not fully produced by our team (shot and edited) because again, our show is based on our characters and their lives. This is a packaged deal, not only because we have two celebrities, Eric and Jessie James Decker, but we also have producers and a camera crew who have extensive experience working on successful reality TV shows such as Keeping Up With The Kardashians, making our show less likely to flop. Another reason we decided to do a fully produced sizzle reel is for our casting reel. We wanted to show the specifics of the characters and to understand each character’s personality. During our pitch meeting, after presenting our sizzle reel, I will pitch the agents and others at the meeting for a season of Eric & Jessie: Game On (13 episodes). I believe that a pilot, for the initial production cast, would be best for Eric & Jessie: Game On. This is the most admirable option because it is real footage of Eric, Jessie, and their kids, which shows their family dynamics and paints a well-rounded picture of the show. Not only does it show a preview of how the season will be, but

The concept of "The Brady Bunch" started back in 1966 when Sherwood Schwartz (the creator and producer of the show) heard that somewhere between 20-30% of all families had at least one child from a previous marriage. One of society’s oldest and most complex dichotomies is that of men versus women. But the fact that “versus” is even part of the dialogue on this subject shows the ways in which our culture has denigrated the natural and normal developmental differences between males and females. However, many of the differences are also socially constructed and perpetuated through rituals and stereotypes passed along from generation to generation. The popular and comedic children’s show, “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody”, exemplifies some of these stereotypes through an episode called “The Fairest of them All”, in which a beauty pageant is hosted by the hotel that Zack and Cody, two young male children, live in.…

Screen and stage entertainment are very different; although, they seem to have strikingly similar characteristics and have many comparable features that some do not even realize. Stage provides live entertainment that creates a bond with the audience that can be the same plot but performed so differently each time. Screen is filmed entertainment that can have special effects and captivate every single detail but has no real connection to the audience. Usually, how a person feels about stage or screen entertainment is based mostly on preference and somewhat based on the time era they grew up in.…
