The main character in the novel, “Into the Wild,” Chris McCandless, struggled internally which led him to struggling externally. McCandless struggled internally by feeling the need to find answers and felt that he could seek change in his own life. Having the need to find answers and change in life, McCandless set off on an expedition. On the expedition, Chris faced many external, physical conflicts with being forced to survive with such little material and preparation. Throughout this novel, I felt that there was a lot of different events going on quite quickly so I was only able to get ideas of what could happen next but did not exactly infer any specific events.
