Chaucer’s Prioress, Madame Eglantine, is a unique woman. Through her daily actions, it was evident that she held no concern for those around her. She only cared about herself but compared to the other people of the town Chaucer describes, she is alight. Not enough to get off the hook though. Her outside appearance, with the way she dresses to the dogs to the manners may make it look like she is really great. She can be compared to anyone at all, really. People these days are so much more than what they appear to be. For example, the Chrisley family. They have a reality TV show entitled “Chrisley Knows Best.” It follows the life of Todd Chrisley and his family. On the outside they all appear as the ideal Southern family of this century. They are very well off and the children seem rather entitled and the parents seem very nose in the air and very conscious of the money they make. But upon a closer look it is evident that they are very hardworking people that are working to make a name for themselves. They are trying to start a department store that will be based out of Georgia but the first store is planned to be in New York. Their children Chase and Savannah are definitely products of their environment but their parents are working to make sure they understand and appreciate all of the luxuries they are given. In one episode Todd takes his children to New York on business with him to teach them the tricks and trades of starting a business. During this episode it is clear that the kids are not just air heads, but that they are in fact savvy and can think logically and for themselves. Much like the Prioress, there is much more to them than meets the eye (Chrisley Knows
