Andy Jackson in the book “Tears Of a Tiger” by Sharon Draper was a typical teenager, he was suffering through a hard time from his best friend Rob dying in a car crash Andy Jackson showed depression throughout this book many of times. When andy was calling people for help to cheer him up Andy said “Okay, what do i do now? I feel like the world is closin’ in on me” Page 157.This quote showed us that he was saying that there was no reason for him to live anymore and how he has no hope to get his old life back. He made it very obvious about his depression from skipping school and his grades.
