In “The Crucible” ,written by Authur Miller, it’s spring of 1692 in Salem, Massachusetts. Strange events start to occur after Reverend Paris finds his daughter, his niece, his slave and many other girls dancing in the forest. His niece ,Abigail Williams, has a history of lying, getting released from service and being a rebel, she is the most responsible for conjuring up spirits and for also conjuring up the devil in Salem.
Abigail is responsible for conjuring up the devil in Salem because when the girls were dancing and singing they were following Abigail. After being questioned and accused of witchcraft she lies and puts the blame on other people she despises. She also tells the girls that if they so much as tell anyone that they were doing
