Who killed young Herbert? It all started on a dark, stormy night, while playing chess. A man, from a faraway land, knocked on the door. He told a tale about a monkeys paw. The paw would let you make three wishes. In the story, “Monkey’s Paw”, Herbert dies; I believe Herbert is to blame. Since Herbert didn’t believe it that’s why he died. Herbert suggested that Mr. White (Herbert’s father) should wish for two hundred pounds (Money). When Mr. White did wish for two hundred pounds Herbert said, “We’re going to be rich”, but he was being sarcastic about the paw. As they waited for the money to arrive Herbert said, “Well, I don’t see the money, and I bet I never will”, unfortunately Herbert didn’t know that he wouldn’t actually see the money at
