Even when others didn’t believe in her it was important she believed in herself. I believe Sister Aloysius was right in the book Doubt by John Patrick Shanley because She trusts her instincts and does not care what the outcome will be for her actions because of the incident that has occurred “eight years ago at St. Boniface where they had a priest who had to be stopped”(Shanley 22) and she does not want the history to be repeating itself again. When she finds out about Father Flynn and Donald Muller's relationship and their trip to the rectory from Sister James she knows that she has to put a stop to whatever thats is going on and get the truth out.
