First off, we have much different ways of life, not only the time period but location as well. Our ways of life differ in many ways, her hardships in the book were immensely more troublesome than anything I have ever experienced and secondly, she lived a much more primitive lifestyle that the one I live. Lastly, our geographical location. The differences in culture between our two countries are immense, starting with personal belongings.
