The main character undergoing this journey in the play Cosi, is Lewis. In the 1790s this opera was considered immoral but in the 1970s it was a symbol of sexist attitudes, at a time of protest and political agitation.

Eventually soviet troops invade, resulting in Rose dead in crossfire.
The last pages of the book show the return of spring with poppies growing in the former death camp and the blue flower, once held by Rose. The book shows journeys in a number of ways being one that is physical and an emotional understanding, reading this book and having it being understandable in its simplest form just by following the pictures shows quite some depth, yet also making wider hints to the Nazis and the Holocaust through references in the text. For example, the Mayor's moustache is (in a carefully-planned way) reminiscent of Hitler's.
The journey is accurately reflected through these texts, yet in quite different ways. In Cosi the discovery is through the growth of Lewis as he finds out who he actually is while being with the group at the mental institution. He learns more about whom he likes and what he can handle and it is a very personal journey as it is all about

The process of discovering the truth about one’s self one’s world, can have confronting and far-reaching implications for an individual’s identity and the world surrounding them. Shakespeare’s tragicomedy, The Tempest, through the use of the characters of Miranda and Prospero, conveys in us a more in-depth understanding of how the forced or unexpected discovery of one’s self and one’s true nature can have metamorphic ramifications for both the characters in the play and the world they exist in. Conversely, Margaret Atwood's metaphysical poem Journey to the Interior explores how discovery evoked by necessity can challenge the value of the search for one’s identity. The emotional consequence of one’s actions is heightened in Shakespeare’s tragedy, King Lear and American History X written by David McKenna and directed by Tony Kaye, both exploring the corruption of political power, who become a victim of their external influences. Both illustrate how Journeys extend and help shape ones understanding of the world, enable individuals to alter their lives through the understanding of reality and provide challenges that force them to accept knowledge. Journeys help shape ones understanding of the world, both texts examine and how redemption is gained through experiences, evident in Lear’s anguish in the symbolism of the storm. Life is full of journeys, both physical and emotional. A character’s physical journey is often used by many authors to play a central role in their novel. The process of a physical journey is often associated with expanding knowledge, such as mental growth. The concept of a journey can be used metaphorically as a direct link to a character’s inner search to find his own identity or a search to find a new identity; it provides an opportunity for a character to see himself from a different perspective, rather than his own. Some characters remain stagnant and others become dynamic.…
