In the story “A separate Peace” by John Knowles the two main characters in the story are Gene and Finny, this essay will be describing one of Finny’s characteristics and the character trait is that he is very impetuous. In the story Finny shows signs of being impetuous throughout the time line he is shown in. Throughout the story we know that Finny was a great athlete how slacked off on his studies. But in parts of the story they show him being impetuous. For example in the story when older Gene is thinking about what happened back when he attended Devon he thinks of when Finny and him jumped out of that old tree. Finny just said lets jump out of that tree and without having time to think twice Gene followed Finny up the tree. Another example
