In the novel, A Mango Shaped Space by Wendy Mass, the a-ha moment appears when Mia Winchell goes to a university to ask about the colors she has been seeing. When the doctor, known as Jerry, informs her that the colors she has been seeing is a condition known as synesthesia, Mia is completely blown away. Mia thought all this time that she would never know about why she saw these colors, and more less thought it was an actual condition other people had. Mia immediately shows her emotions of happiness and amazement to this by saying “I stare at him for a minute trying to absorb what he just said.
