“The Most Dangerous Game” Conclusion “The Most Dangerous Game” begins with a young man named Rainsford. Rainsford is on a yacht near the edge of South America. They’re going to South America to go hunting. Rainsford is a professional hunter who has written a few books about his experience. While his bunkmates head off to bed Ransford wants to have one more smoke before bed. As he is standing there looking over the seas they hit a high wave and his pipe hits a rope and falls overboard. Rainsford tries to catch it, but ends up going overboard with the pipe. He begins to swim where he hears gunshots hopeing of an island nearby. He swims upon an island named ship-trapped island.
