Chapter Summary: The Adventures Of Lardo And Alice

At the beginning Polly bought a store so she could sell her pie's and she named her store Pie. The store was bringing in plenty of business, her sisters daughter, Alice loved to come over and work on the pies with Polly. Then one day Polly died leaving her will to say what she did not get to say. Polly left the world famous pie crust recipe to Lardo(the cat), and left Lardo to Alice, Alice was pleased, but her parents thought other wise. One night Alice hear a noise so she looked to see if it was Lardo, but Lardo was nowhere to be seen. Charlie came over the next , morning to help, trying to make sense of her clues, so they go to her aunts old shop to see if they could find any clues or even find Lardo, but after seeing the mess in her …show more content…
Then to make matters worst, Alice's parents were notified that the burglary wasn't by force, but used a key, telling Alice that the police needed to learn more, but the could spare saying that the burglars used a baseball bat, but it turned out to be Charlie's. When Alice was helping charlie bring Miss Gurke her groceries she told him that she saw Miss Gurke still the key, so as they got their Alice took Charlie to the back to snoop around to see if they could find Lardo are more clues, turning out to find Miss Gurke in the back yard, after accusing Miss Gurke as the cat napper Miss Gurke denied it and said that she didn't take the key but she simply dropped her ring in the box and had to pick it up. When Alice found out that the burglars might have used sleeping gas to cat nap him, was the time when the Chief gave her Lardo back. After having a fight with her mother about who took her mother's pie Alice ran away so she wouldn't have to deal with her mother, finding a clap board house with Miss DeSoto carrying something that appeared to be a pie, being shocked that Charlie was with her, discovering the same earring they found in her
