Chapter Summary In Lord Of The Flies

When Simon wakes up he travels up the mountain and finds the dead parachutist. Simon untangles the parachute lines and then vomits. He then heads down the mountain to tell the boys there is no beast. During this time Jack is having a party and eating the pig from his last hunt. When Ralph and Piggy come over to eat Jack asks who would like to join his tribe. Ralph says he still has the conch and is the leader. Jacks group had gotten excited and is chanting kill the beast and pretending they are hunting. In the shadows Simon comes out of the jungle and the group in their confusion attacks and kills Simon. It starts to rain and the wind is blowing sending the dead parachutist down the mountain and onto the beach. The boys are terrified
