Chapter Summary: Gmos's Effect On The Environment

No One wants to harm their overall future life… but using and producing Gmos might do just that. Gmos or genetically modified crops are plants that are harvested with certain chemicals (Borel 57) that add flavor to foods. However, questions about Gmo's effect on the environment, the human body, and the worldwide economy. Gmos will harm people’s overall lives through the environment, t and the economy. First off, Gmo’s will hurt the environment. “Clearly, Gmo’s won’t fix the food shortage problem… However, gmo plants release dangerous biofuels that can pollute the air.” (Borel 58). Do people really want to use a risky product for something that won’t even fix the problem it is designed for. Furthermore, the author argues that non- covered plants can cause increased dust in the air (Connally web). Increased dust leads to more dust storms, which can cause problems for the habitats of many animals. The air is an essential part of the environment.
