Chapter Seventeen: Let the Fuckers Burn!

They had decided that planning would be useless, and contacting the others again was far too risky. They had no idea where Melissa was, and as horrible as it sounds, they couldn’t afford the time to find her.
Deanna said that as soon as they were out, they could shut the place down, and get her out more safely. There was only so many people she could get out.
Tracy had expressed concern with then getting gout of solitary in the first place. Deanna had just laughed at that and reminded both women that this was not her first time in that room.

“Yes dear. Who’s the one with the PhD?” Regina asked.
“I don’t know. You tell me. Who’s the one who successfully managed to plan a psychiatric hospital breakout?”
“Oh really? That’s what you’re going with? Seems a bit One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest to me.”
“Read it when I was ten. Now are you going to just admit I’m right?” Deanna asked. If possible, they had moved even closer.
“Make me.” Regina whispered, almost nose to nose. After a long stretch of silence, Tracy couldn’t take it anymore.
“Tension so thick that Valarian Steel would have a problem cutting through it. Either kiss, or get away from each other.” She said. “You’ve both just uttered the top three phrases that create sexual tension.”
“Way to ruin the moment, Tracy.” Deanna joked, both of them backing away.
“Okay, say hypothetically we do follow this plan of yours?” Regina asked. “What happens next? Nine former patients can’t just expect to assimilate. They’ll be hunted down like deer. You’ll be hunted down like deer.”
