Chapter fourteen of Exodus presents the account of the crossing of the Red Sea by the people of Israel. It is a significant event in the life of Jewish people because God allowed Moses to divide the sea into two. Scripture says: “The Israelites went into the sea on dry ground, the waters forming a wall for them on the right and on the left. The Egyptians pursued, and went into the sea after them, all of Pharoah’s horses, chariots, and chariot drivers.” Here we see God saves his lowly people and puts down the strong and powerful Egyptians. This account of the crossing of the Red Sea clearly manifests the mighty power of the Lord against the evil power.
In this occasion the people of Israel recognize the mighty power of Yahweh
