Chapter eight: “High School Expectations” Mmm..Highschool, so close yet so far. To me High School helps set the rest of your life for you, so you must always put 110% in on everything you are doing. Whether it be sports or classes. I suspect that high school will be very challenging, life is not going to get any easier as I grow up, but rather more difficult. In my dream world, high school would be a breeze, I would be a straight A student, and play sports. In reality though, I am aware that if I want to be a lawyer when I get older, it’s going to take more than just taking regular classes to be noticed by a college. Soccer is a big deal to my family and friends. My best friend Siera and I are playing soccer for the youth center right now. I believe that we will be able to make the high school team if we continue practicing and working hard. I think Siera and I make an great team when it comes to communication and passing the ball. I hold down the fort on defense and she is are striker on offense.
In about four years I will be graduating high school, so the year would be 2020. When I grow up I want to be a lawyer and because of that, It will take me about eight years to finish college, so the year would be 2028. In ten years the year will be 2026, so in ten years from now I will still be in college with two more years to go. After obtaining a four year bachelor's degree, the date being 2024. I will enroll in a law school that will take about four years, the year being 2028.
In ten years I would hope to be in New York attending Columbia Law School. I am aware that it is a private, Ivy League school, but I have my hopes high. I would hope to get a scholarship, in doing so I will need to work really hard in high school and be prepared for what the world throws at me.
