After that program finished, I was left with the same question over again. There were and are many things I have enjoyed over the years but the one that stood out was becoming a hair stylist. Ever since I was little, all I have truly wanted to do is get married young and have a family. Not every career suits the lifestyle I desire and that played a huge part in my struggle of making this decision. My dream is to learn as much as possible at school, to graduate and become a professional stylist, and to eventually run my own salon. Jesse, my boyfriend who works in carpentry, will be able to build me a salon right in our yard once we are married. Over the past couple weeks at Majestany, my dream has grown significantly and is continuing to become more real right before my eyes. As my senior year recently came closer to an end, it became more clear that I was more unsure than ever as to what I wanted to do in life. School was not something I enjoyed and the thought of furthering my education taking random classes without knowing what I wanted to do seemed depressing. About a month after graduating, I was talking to my mom and she asked me what I wanted to do for a career. Still depressed and feeling anxious about the subject, I told her I really just wanted to go to cosmetology school.…

Self-Analysis Communication is a skill that I learned at an early age. When growing up, learning proper communication skills is a key to becoming a successful citizen. I have taken the time to go over my self-assessment tests and have had the opportunity for others to express their opinions about my skills. The self-evaluation test has brought to my attention that I have a “Driver” kind of communication style, a “high self monitor” score of 14, and a “compromising” type of management style.
