The latest part of the reading has gone by really slow as the past 5 chapters only seem to be in to two different settings during a single night. It seems like Holden is recollecting way more than a real human being would be able to recollect. He is telling us every single possible detail about where he is and what he is experiencing. I have also found it hard to connect to this portion of the book as he his dunk for a good bit of it. Within this journal, I will be evaluating the themes in To Kill A Mockingbird. To begin, one of the themes displayed in the novel is the coexistence of the innocent and evil. One way the book conveys this is when the evil jury kills an innocent black man, Tom. I say this figuratively because the prison camp actually killed him, but the jury got him there.
