In my artwork I chose a mirror to be my median instead of a piece of paper because a mirror shows what is there, you cannot change the reflection of a mirror without changing yourself. In relations to the play the mirror in my artwork represents the truth. The cracks in the mirror show the harm caused, hence the blood near the cracks. This is ironic because mirrors reflect the image it is shown, it can not be altered only hidden. This is similar to how Abigail would manipulate people so they would not know the truth therefore creating chaos. Abigail has an effortless talent of manipulating people, she was able to convince others that they were seeing spirits when in reality it was a figment of their imagination or rather what Abigail insinuated. In addition the handprints makes it difficult to see the reflection on the mirror, like how Abigail’s screaming, fainting and accusations made people frightened people from the truth.
