National Honor Society (NHS) is built upon four key values (scholarship, character, leadership, and service), and I think that I exemplify all four of these values, as I show them through my contribution to the club now and as I will show them through my future officer position of secretary; due to the fact that I exhibit these qualities, I will also be able to leave NHS better than I found when I leave the club in the future. NHS has offered lots of service opportunities since I have joined the club, and it offers a challenging experience for the top students in the sophomore through senior classes; fifty hours must be completed by the end of the year for returning members, and fifty hours must be completed by the next school year for new members. The club ultimately instilled in me important and very useful life qualities. The service activities that must be completed improve my work ethic and ability to work in groups with others, and they also help me get involved more with my community. As a future officer, I would be a great example for members because I have all the qualities needed to be a great NHS leader, allowing me to contribute to NHS as much as I can and to also mold future members to be like myself.…

I believe that my membership in a prestigious organization such as NHS will not affect my willingness to serve others before myself. I hope it will only assist me in being a better role model for my peers and that it will expand my opportunities to be a leader and that I will learn how to improve my service towards my community. I plan to be an active member in NHS and possibly someone that others can always go to for guidance and…

The four pillars of NHS, service, scholarship, leadership, and character, mean a lot to me. Some of them relate to me more than others, but all play a huge part in NHS. Not one of them is more important than the rest. Creating these four pillars help shape who you are in NHS and even who you are for the rest of your life. To me, I think being a part of NHS would mean being able to learn and become a more responsible, smarter, helpful leader.…

In dance, you learn quickly that without pure dedication and drive you will never be successful. While talent can come naturally, skill and technique only come with hard work. I spent countless hours in dance studios growing up, working tirelessly to hone these skills and perfect technique. A lifetime of dance taught me what it means to have discipline and dedication to a craft, values which I have also seen reflected in my clinical experiences. Medicine is a practice which calls for just as much discipline, dedication, and drive.…

Since my birth, I have always been surrounded by people working or studying in the health care field. My father, my aunt, my grandmother and even two of my cousins are all nurses and they are all surprised I might be part of them really promptly, but wearing an imposing khaki uniform rather than a pastel-coloured one. I sincerely believe that I have chosen the best career for my future because being a Nursing Officer is not really dangerous, it gives the chance to live exciting and challenging adventures and it provides enriched career advancement opportunities. At first, when I announced my career choice to my family and friends, they were not unanimous.…

Everybody needs doctors and nurses at some point in their life. Doctors and nurses have one of the noblest and respectful professions. They are complementary. Doctors make diagnoses and treat diseases and conditions whereas nurses collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to improve the patient 's healthcare plan.
