Changing School Lunches

Changing a school's lunch menu may not seem like a big deal. For those students who buy lunch at school everyday, it is a big deal. If you already know that the students like the food why change it? Like they say "if it's not broke why try to fix it". Students have the right to choose what they want to eat everyday. I believe that this change would be a bad idea for our school. First thing to consider is whether students like or dislike the current lunch menu. For some of the students not only do they like it but they have some items on the menu as their favorite meal. If you were to buy lunch from the same place everyday during the week, you better believe you'd choose a restaurant that has the food you enjoy the most. It just doesn't make sense. Second idea to take under consideration is, the lunch sales. Say the school does decide to change the menu to a new, healthier one. The sales of school lunches will go down the drain. Main reason why is because students wouldn't like to spend their money on something they aren't going to enjoy. If you keep the same lunch menu, you will keep getting the sales you do now. Last but not least, it should be the student's choice, not the school's. Since we are the ones who use our own money to buy it and the ones who eat it too. The school should analyze that and then make a decision based on what we want. They should put the students first and provide them with what they want to eat. It would only be fair if the students had a say in this dilemma for the school. In conclusion, changing the school menu is a terrible idea. We the students of this school want to be able to continue eating our favorite meals. We will lose a lot of money on the sale of school lunches. So, we encourage you to keep the same menu we already have.
