But there is a big difference of seeing people at church activities every week than being around them 24/7. I never understood until moving here, where a lot of my Mormon friends didn’t like living in Utah and most of them moved backed to CA. But culturally I see there is a big difference with Utah Mormons and everyone else, especially CA Mormons. The Utah culture is a lot to adjust to, especially being from CA. I think is the intense conservative of this cultural, that takes adjusting too. I grew up conservative, but Utah is on another level on conservative. Which is good for them, but not something that I don’t think I will ever strive to get to. I think that my Californian less conservativeness is brushing off on my roommates. I mean growing up, Sunday’s were meant to be with the family and not spend money. But if we went to get ice cream, it wasn’t as big as a deal, as it is here to some of my pass roommates. But I gotten my roommates to go to Baskin Robin’s on Sundays, and we all enjoy it. I never force them to go with me, but now they even ask, “hey we should go to Baskin Robbins after church.” I’m ok, even if I already been there once today because I skipped out on relief society. I do this because it’s like our “family time”, since we are all spending it together doing something that we like. I feel that we all consider ourselves good people, though we are spending money on the Sabbath. For me that’s not a big deal, but for most of Utah culture it is. Which is something that about this culture that I don’t think I could ever get used
