Changing American Society

Society in the United States is ever changing. I believe the US built, with the belief that this nation will be the best nation overall. Obviously, the pilgrims left their old society, to start and build their ideal society in the US. I would say like most societies the US is still developing, with events that we learn from every 10 or so years. I think currently the US society is focused on divisions, mainly division of races and sexes.
I don’t think the US society will ever be as divided on race, as we were in the 50’s and 60’s. I think that the US main hot topic right now, is the division of the country on race. But there is a big difference of seeing people at church activities every week than being around them 24/7. I never understood until moving here, where a lot of my Mormon friends didn’t like living in Utah and most of them moved backed to CA. But culturally I see there is a big difference with Utah Mormons and everyone else, especially CA Mormons. The Utah culture is a lot to adjust to, especially being from CA. I think is the intense conservative of this cultural, that takes adjusting too. I grew up conservative, but Utah is on another level on conservative. Which is good for them, but not something that I don’t think I will ever strive to get to. I think that my Californian less conservativeness is brushing off on my roommates. I mean growing up, Sunday’s were meant to be with the family and not spend money. But if we went to get ice cream, it wasn’t as big as a deal, as it is here to some of my pass roommates. But I gotten my roommates to go to Baskin Robin’s on Sundays, and we all enjoy it. I never force them to go with me, but now they even ask, “hey we should go to Baskin Robbins after church.” I’m ok, even if I already been there once today because I skipped out on relief society. I do this because it’s like our “family time”, since we are all spending it together doing something that we like. I feel that we all consider ourselves good people, though we are spending money on the Sabbath. For me that’s not a big deal, but for most of Utah culture it is. Which is something that about this culture that I don’t think I could ever get used

In the United States of America, there has been an equal amount of positive and negative influences within the American Society.
