The best tool and object to use for this task is a jack and a block of wood, or a brick. These two objects will help a person elevate the car and eventually remove the tire. Place the block of wood or brick behind the left or right rear tire, depending on which side the flat tire is not on. This is needed so the car will not move while the car is being elevated. The spare tire is usually located inside the trunk of the car, to retrieve the tire lift the cover up and that is where it will be. Take it out of the truck and carefully roll it into the open spot where the flat tire was. It is now time for the spare tire to be placed onto the car. Carefully pick up the spare and place it on the tire axle, make sure it is placed all the way back so the lug nuts can be place on very securely. Grab one lug nut at a time and start placing them back where they go on the hubcaps.
