“The world is changing and you’re only just becoming accustomed to it. You’re changing, I suppose.”--- Sara Sheridan, sheridan is a scottish writer who works in a various of genres. Her quote indicate that people would be unconsciously affected by their experience and the environment around them. It provides a good explanation for the characteristic changing of Macbeth in shakespeare's play “Macbeth”.Macbeth goes through drastic changes throughout the play. His various bizarre experience changes him from good to evil. And finally leads to a bad ending. The changing is not only a significant feature for Macbeth which makes him a very special and interesting character but also promotes the development of plot.

Some vital events caused the dramatic changes. Three wired witches’ prophets are the origin of all the changes. The witches state that “ All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor! All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be King hereafter!" (I iii 49~50). These two sentences predict the of Macbeth; although Macbeth thinks those prophets are only the tricks from witches, he still can’t help himself to ask whether those are true. It already shows that Macbeth has strong interests in the possible future. Also, those prophets put “greedy seeds” in Macbeth‘s heart and begin his trait of evil. Moreover, the conversation between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth is also a vital turning moments for the Characteristic changing, Lady Macbeth insisted that “He that's comingMust be provided for:and you shall put This night's great business into my dispatch;Which shall to all our nights and days to come Give solely sovereign sway and masterdom” (I vi 64~67). Lady Macbeth knows Macbeth well, she has the ways to “encourage” him when Macbeth talks with Lady Macbeth about the bizarre experience, her sentences with strong ambitious to become queen easily activated the “seeds” and desires inside Macbeth’s mind. After this significant moment, Macbeth officially starts his cruel path to the king ship and the dramatic changing. It is because that somehow Macbeth has many commons with the people now in the society. In other words, Lady Macbeth believes, “It is too full o'the milk of human kindness To catch the nearest way:thou wouldst be great; Art not without ambition,but without The illness should attend it”(I v 15~17). The quote introduces Macbeth’s properties before changing. At the beginning of the play, Macbeth is a brave soldier who was guileless and want to achieve the dream, to be a great man, by right ways. During that process, seductions are around him. Just like many other people now, he fell into the vortex of greedy, and prefers to use some “dirty” to actualize some of his desires.
