I am a person who usually likes a set schedule day in and day out and I don’t really enjoy changing my schedule. However, over the past several weeks I have been really working at becoming more adaptable because the world isn’t always going to work in a set schedule for me and my career definitely isn’t either. These past weeks I have been waking up at different times, changing my diet, trying new adventurous things that I would never think I would ever try, and I even decided to go study abroad in Spain next semester. All of these things were very difficult for me to adjust to at first, but now looking back on it I had a very enjoyable time. I learned a tremendous amount about how having a set schedule every day isn’t all that exciting and not very likely to happen in my career. Trying all these new things was very exciting for me and gave me a fresh outlook on my life and I couldn’t be more excited about making my decision to go to Europe next semester. Before this class I was on the fence about going to study abroad because I like being close to home, I was about 80% going and 20% not going when I found out my individual project was about becoming more adaptable and after talking with my parents and a few of my close friends I decided I didn’t want to miss out on an experience like that.
