The main reason for this was that the team felt the President at the time was not treating the rest of the executives as equal members. We all had ideas to contribute on how the organization should operate, but our opinions were always turned down as we were expected to simply follow orders. We were initially very frustrated on how the situation played out and how we were being treated, which inevitably clouded our judgement.We expected immediate change through confrontation. However, after taking some time to reevaluate the situation, I realized that the best course of action would be to communicate our concerns to the President instead of simply letting out our anger and frustrations onto her. As a solution, I offered suggestions on how we can create a new organizational culture to ensure the entire team felt appreciated in their respective roles. The entire team liked the ideas I was presenting, except for the President. She felt that this would be too drastic of a change for her and subsequently decided to resign from her position. At this point, I felt lost because now the original problem had worsened. We had no sense of direction or leadership to get us through this situation. Yet, to my surprise, the rest of the team were at ease because they felt that I would be the best suited executive to take on the role of President. It was clear to them that I had the ideas on how to make the team work and they were confident in my abilities to bring about the change that was
