Normally, I have a class discussion about what my students already know, with technology and these websites, we can put a visual to our discussion. First I can see what percentage of my students are familiar with the topic by giving them a few question to answer (via Quizlet or other website) and then we can brainstorm what we know about the topic using websites such as Padlet, PollEverywhere, or Visuwords. The article explores a study conducted to see what teachers choose to do to conduct their classes when they have no restrictions and limits, specifically in terms of technology. The study showed that despite the freedom to choose the tool of choice, teachers stuck with power points, which are the most basic “old school” way of teaching a class. Savasci concludes after the study that teachers must increase their “ knowledge and skills about how to use those instructional technologies and help them develop positive attitudes toward information and communication technologies”. This illustrates Cahn and Cahn’s sub-claim that schools and their teachers should branch out to innovative technologies for their students. The intended audience seems to be the generation older than the millennials given the subject and context of the study is very factual, but can definitely be intended for millennials as well because the language used is not difficult relative to other academic studies conducted.…

The classroom setting is for, four-year-old preschool aged children. The idea behind the preschool comes from Piaget’s theory that children learn by a process of adaptation, assimilation, and then accommodation. During the first step, they interpret new stimulation in ways that fit with what they already know. As the new information assimilates, the existing knowledge modifies and creates a better match. Lastly, the child’s understanding gradually changes from the interaction with the environment.…

It’s important that different countries approach the rapidly changing world with confidence, however, I don’t see my country, Latvia, doing that any time soon, because most of the teachers are elderly, are not trained to use the new technology school equipment, and it scares the teachers to use them in front of the classroom, which forbids them of using any new 21st century method and it is very unfortunate that my home country can’t provide a modern type of education. Overall, every single one of us subconsciously has the potential to acquiring skills for the 21st century education successfully, we just have to think, come to conclusions and assess ourselves rationally and use these skills in our everyday lives, inside and outside the classroom. I think it is clear that possessing all of the particular skills, leads any of us to a more successful and a less stressful life, especially for students, in the hectic 21st century when it seems like 24 hours in a day is not…
