Change in American society is positively impacted by newer generations who desire progress, nevertheless their ambition casts attributions and customs of former generations. In the painting, the color scheme, red white and blue, is used to reflect that the current scene became common throughout America. New generations began to surpass their parents as development allowed for greater opportunities and different living styles. The red flag at the corner used to stop the train symbolizes a warning that change is occurring and in fact may be dangerous, it reveals that change may have positive and negative effects. The change may be good and impact society in a positive way as it can improve living styles and conditions, however it may be negative
