Change In America

Climate change is something that many people do not think about on a day to day basis, and for Americans climate change is a back burner topic that rarely is brought up in conversation. The lack of common knowledge by people is both negligent on their end and on the organizations that promote information on climate change. The largest problems with climate change are: lack of knowledge by individuals, lack of participation by governments to collaborate and share information, and the unwillingness to change the ways that a person lives. One issue that effects minds on climate change is society in America has influenced the minds of people to think that climate change is something that is way into the future and has no affect on them in their lifetime. Climate change has been occurring for years. The Earth shows effects of constant greenhouse gas build up, heating the Earth’s temperature by a few degrees. This climate change has many consequences including polar ice melt, weather pattern changes, and economic grief. Research done by the United States Environmental Protection Agency exclaims that the hardest part of coping with climate change will be in the economically. The EPA explains that many people will not be able to afford the higher prices of living (Climate Impacts). The price of living will increase due to agricultural changes, energy costs increases, and migration of people. Agricultural changes will occur when crops can no longer grow where they originally did. As the Earth’s climate changes there will be less rainfall in some places where crops go while in others there will be flooding and heavy storms that drown crops. Energy costs will increase in order to attempt to keep the same
