This makes it easier to pull details from the image and allows the audience to visualize and find emotion from a simple picture. When using these elements, it is possible to set the tone and meaning behind the picture. Companies take advantage of this opportunity to catch their audiences’ eye and accomplish their goal. By explaining pictures to the best of their ability, it is possible to create a mental picture of the image.

In Ecovia’s “Stop the Violence” ad, they allowed us to see the physical damage done during a car crash. They placed a green truck on a man’s fist and a painted a red van on a man’s face. They then collided cars, punching the man in the face. This showed how a car crash can cause harm and pain to others. By making the image very contrasted, it allowed the audience to pin out every detail of pain and sweat among the man’s face. The man’s facial expressions express pain by showing tension along his face, wrinkles, spit flying and veins popping out. Since this is a more serious topic, they set a black background that allowed us to focus on the main image, the cars. The cars and most important words are highlighted in red to make them stand out. The main focus in the image is to show you the harm done to others during a collision. This is why they placed the words “Stop the Violence, Don’t Drink and Drive” underneath the
