Chandler's Home-Personal Narrative

The ruined city is covered in dust, surrounded by a dome of tangled vines too thick to see through. A world, called Enchantė*, that once flourished is now left in shambles. This world was once full of vibrant life, until it was all ruined by war. The few left to survive gathered in a small city known as sėcuritė*. They did their best to repopulate their once amazing world, but yet could only keep so many people alive with the little protection from the outside world they had. The first survivors of sėcuritė became Masters, and built the dome, using tangled vines scattered from the desolate world. Sadly, that was not enough protection, and that is where the idea for using magical children came in.

She reluctantly drags herself out of the cot she has for a bed and wakes Cole from his sleep on the other side of the room. It is time for Le Jour de L'activation*, which means Cole will be forced to find his powers, as he was now seven years old. Chandler, on the other hand, has been mastering hers for years, she knows how to fully levitate any object and how to freeze the time around her if need be. Although, Chandler isn’t fully sure how the teachers are aware she freezes them since she is the only one who knows that time has stopped. Chandler has also built up a tolerance for using her powers. Once she first began she could use her powers for less than thirty seconds before collapsing in weakness. She worries Cole will struggle with this, but using your powers and gaining strength will always come with practice. Despite this fact, Chandler sees that Cole is very optimistic about finding his powers, and she assures him that it is unlikely he will turn out a pas magiques like his parents. If he does turn out to be a pas magiques then he would have to change from normal schooling to instead learn from many parents on how to best raise a …show more content…
Chandler’s only desire is to keep Cole and her together, which in the long run would ensure his safety. Chandler couldn’t care less about the other children getting taken by the Masters, no matter how close she is to them, Chandler knew to think of herself and her family first. Even if it took leaving the only place she’s known her entire life.
Chandler instructs Cole to pack a bag of crucial items, and she does the same. She knows that the only way they can truly stay together is to run away to the unexplored world and make it their new home. Chandler doesn’t know what this world will hold for them, but she is certain that anything will be better her and her brother’s separation. She cannot let anyone know of her plans to escape the masters, she just has to go through with them as soon as possible so no one can stop her. It’s past eight o’clock now, and all lights will be out now. Children are forbidden to go outside after lights out, it is seen as too dangerous, but this is the perfect time to get
