Chance Saier's Internship Report

This report will demonstrate how Chance Saier effectively taught a lesson in the packaging industry during his time with Plastipak. During his internship there was an issue with Mountain Dew and the color being off. In order to get the correct color across all the plants a Delta E scale was needed. In the end a new scale was created and the color issue was resolved.

The presentation taught me the importance of using the same perform when forming bottles. The presentation also taught that planning is essential when trying to find a solution. With the same perform used across all plants the color of the bottles were much closer to the desired colors.     I was lucky enough to interview Brad Ciolek the scouting administrator for the Baltimore Orioles. Brad and I had our discussion on the phone over fall break, which lasted about 30-40 minutes.
