Noelle Carrington was getting tired of putting her trust in people only to get disappointed time and time again. When Chance Brooks just adds more wounds to her already battered heart she decides being single is the best decision for her. She is going to concentrate on her business and leave the affairs of the hearts for others.
When Chance Brooks strolls back into the town of Willow Springs Missouri after completing a long military mission he is determined to get his woman back.
