She show delayed speech or might have loose previous ability to say words or simple sentences because she was finding difficulty to spell word properly. I observe that her teacher help her how to pronounce the word grapes, mango, chocolate by using real food items and developed her requesting and manding for the preferred items she like to eat first. She also lack social interaction with her peers at the lunch table as she eat without drawing attention and she doesn’t interact with her peer sitting at the lunch table, as it might affect her social relationship to make or keep friends (Hardcare & Dumais, 2013,p.450). She even face difficulty in performing independent task in her daily routine such as brushing teeth, sleeping difficulties, dressing, etc. But in spite of these challenging behaviour there were some strengths observed in the video such as capable of riding bicycle, access iPad, …show more content…
Expressive language may show more echolalia than spontaneous speech. The girl in the video is a visual leaner as she was non-verbal to communicate and was able to express herself feeling by making some sort of sound to make her mom understand that she don’t like to brush her teeth. In the video her mom also spoke about the pictures posted in her room to help her to get dress up by herself. Even in the school during lunch time she was assist through picture posted on the microwave about how to set a microwave. She require personal care at home and school to improve her challenging behaviour in the various domain such as social/ emotional, communication, cognitive and physical development.
